Program Overview

A school of 71 students from Japan will come to Hawaii for a 3-day program, in collaboration with 6 local high school students at 13 Islanders. Each group size will consist of around 6~9 participants. In each group, there will be different breakout activities and fieldwork based on the Japan school's topic areas.

Theme

Mission: To inspire our future generations in discovering their kuleana in restoring the circular balance of humanity and the natural world through learning the complex interconnections of island sustainability. Learn more about the Kuleana Program here: https://www.kuleanashep.com/

Program Goal: Each group will conduct research by going on various field trips, collecting data, and eventually creating a video portfolio of the findings.
