About the Event
EVENT: LbE Kaka'ako Block Clean Up
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is an LbE Hawaii block cleanup event, coordinated and managed by LbE Hawaii! We will cleanup the streets of Kaka'ako including Cooke Street, Keawe Street, South Street, and other nearby streets and parks.
WHO CAN REGISTER: Open to the public!
PURPOSE OF EVENT: Not only will we help keep our streets clean, we will help prevent harmful debris from going into our city's storm drains, which eventually lead to our ocean, which may harm our marine ecosystem.
LOCATION: Meet at the Kaka'ako Makai Gateway park, just north of the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park's parking lot. Exact details will be given as the date gets nearer.
TIMELINE:
09:00 AM - Check in & street assignments
09:15 AM - Block Clean Up
11:00 AM - Return any materials provided by LbE / Mahalo!
THINGS TO BRING:
- Mask (required to wear at all times)
- Plastic-free water bottle
- Reef safe sunscreen
- Plastic-free Hat
- Plastic-free dark glasses
- Covered shoes
PLEASE DO NOT BRING:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Guests who are not registered
- Plastic (try your best to not bring any single use plastic items to this event)
ATTIRE: Cool clothing and covered shoes.
PARKING: Anywhere in the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park's parking lot or surrounding street parking. LbE Hawaii is not responsible for theft or damage of your vehicle. Please be responsible in locking your car and not leaving any valuables in your vehicle.
